Holly Green

Holly Green is a Story Maker.  

A musician, storyteller and poet using colour and sound to paint her world.  Well known on the folk scene for her poignant, heartfelt songs telling stories of real people in real situations.  She accompanies herself on piano, autoharp and guitar, sharing her creative process at her intimate performances.

As a poet, Holly Green writes fluid, emotive verses, which pour out the feelings of being human in such a complicated yet beautiful world.  Holly's poetry compliments and contrasts with her songwriting and you cannot assume if you have heard her songs, that you know her poetry.

Storytelling links all of Holly Green's artistic work.  She tells tales for all ages from the abstract and lyrical, to the simple fable.  Holly will often link a story with a song or a poem to add depth and understanding to the tales she is sharing.  She has recently begun to share her visual artwork which calls on naive, folk crafts to add to her stories.
